And then, the questions…

01. Three words that describe you?

Intuitive, vibrant, and empowered.

02. Whats your best and worst quality?

I’m a fearless communicator focused on radical transparency. To me that can be perceived as both  good and bad. Our culture is accustomed to the complete opposite - surface interaction, indifference, routine, complacency, and glorifying oppressors and celebrities to maintain the status quo. I tend to operate from a mindset of brave connective exchange as a means for healing, learning and hopefully ultimately the collective us experiencing equitable belonging.

03. Quality you most admire in a person?

Self-awareness and accountability.

04. Greatest love of your life?

Life itself. I’m grateful for every cycle of breath and each moment experienced in my body. Simply being aware that I’m alive.

05. Secret talent or a skill or trait you wish you had?

Wish I could sail. Anyone out there want to give a gal some lessons?

06. A piece of clothing or item that has a story behind it, what is it and whats the story?

A late 60s burnt orange terry cloth swimsuit that I inherited from my Auntie (Jacinta) Jessie. Elastic parts have stretched, straps adjusted and repaired but it’s a fave. Feel like a Caribbean queen and closer to my family each time I wear it! Link to IG Reel

07. Share with us the last meme that made you laugh out loud:

I got two memes for ya!

08. Whats one recent change youve made to live more consciously?

Before I jump into the work day, I walk consciously focused on my breath. This morning moving breath meditation (usually paired with flower + matcha consumption) sometimes incorporates a guided meditation, other times nadis shodhana to a gentle playlist to find balance.

09. Place where you are happiest?

Seaside, soundscape of waves, nude, sun kissed, device off-duty, hair tied, puffing peace, undisturbed, eating fresh fruit, and sharing intimate affectionate moments.

10. What is a cause you believe in and whats an organization that supports it that youd like people to know about?

Defund the Police and Invest in Communities. We need to move away from racist inhumane imprisonment + surveillance-based militarization over committing to real safety through higher wages, housing, education, child and elder care, mental health & substance treatment, public green spaces, and healthcare. A few orgs to support: Equitable Giving Circle, EJI, Soul Fire Farms, and the coalition of orgs that make up the M4BL.

Extra credit:

Sign of the zodiac (and what you think that says about you)

Gemini - versatile. 🤠

Indica or sativa? Or do they each have their lane?

I definitely use each with intention and play with the ratio of CBD to THC. Generally, I’m sativa leaning but it’s all about knowing how terpenes interact with your body. Here’s a list of terps commonly found in cannabis.

Hair product you cant live without (couldnt help ourselves 😉)

Since becoming one with box braids, oiling my hair is a ritual. I blend together oils like Jamaican castor, coconut, olive,  jojoba, and tea tree. It is super soothing to lovingly massage your scalp.
