Paperboy Prince is a non-binary, rapper, artist and activist. As early as 12 years old, Prince was interested in politics and creating change, joining youth government programs and later completing internships with the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Supreme Court. In college, Prince studied journalism and computer science while also creating art and hosting entertainment events. Prince continued to instigate change in politics, as a candidate in the primary for New York's 7th congressional district in 2020, and as a democratic mayoral candidate in the 2021 primary. They support universal basic income, Medicare for all, poverty reduction, police abolition and spreading love. Prince hosts a community center called the Love Gallery in Bushwick, Brooklyn. In addition to being a place for community meetings, the Love Gallery is also a vintage clothing store, a food distribution center and their political campaign headquarters.
Proceeds of Paperboy’s T-shirts will benefit OurFood. NYC, which amplifies and celebrates creative food justice initiatives in New York City. The organization hosts fun events, organizes food distributions and creates entertaining, positive experiences for neighbors. OurFood.NYC is one of the many groups that supports the growing fridge movement and fundraises for them, while attracting business and media opportunities to the network.
